All About Me

I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Language Arts from Hunter College and went on to earn two Master Degrees in Education and Remedial Reading, respectively. I currently hold state certifications in both Elementary Education and Remedial Reading. I've worked as a Reading Teacher for K-5 students in need of Remedial Reading instruction, and I am currently employed as a classroom teacher. 

I have been facilitating the learning of students for the past 9 years. In working to meet the needs of all learners, I am aware that there is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to instruction. I believe in the value of molding children in a caring and safe environment, and am a firm believer that each and every student deserves an equal level of support and encouragement from educators. 

My goal as an educator is to help and encourage students to a point where they are able to see what they themselves are capable of accomplishing, therefore giving them the self-confidence needed to succeed in life. There is potential in every student, and I aim to instill in them a love for learning and an understanding of the value of education.
