ABOUT ME

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts, later completed two Master’s degrees in Education and Remedial Reading, and hold certifications in both Elementary Education and Remedial Reading in New York and Connecticut.

After nine years as a classroom teacher, I now work as a Reading Specialist in New York, where I use a structured, multisensory approach designed to support students who benefit from explicit, individualized reading instruction.

For over a decade, I have worked closely with students with a wide range of learning needs through individualized and small-group instruction. I believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to learning, and I intentionally tailor instruction to each child’s strengths and areas of growth. Creating a safe and supportive learning environment is central to my work, allowing students to build confidence and make meaningful progress.

At the heart of my tutoring is the belief that every child can succeed with the right support. My goal is to help students strengthen their reading skills, develop confidence as learners, and build a positive relationship with reading while partnering closely with families throughout the process.
